About Simba

Little Simba was picked up wandering around. It was discovered that he had been hit by a car a month prior and his owner did not get him the proper care he needed. He was taken to the vet were the worst of his injuries was front leg damage (muscles, ligaments & tendons were exposed). After extensive hydrotherapy treatment, daily wound care and antibiotics, his wounds have healed enough for him to finally be discharged by the vet. He has one deformed toe and the hair has not grown back completely yet Simba's spirit and sweetness still shine through. He can fully walk on his healed leg without any problems. He loves being a lap dog. He does not mind other dogs however he does not 'play' with them either - he just keeps to himself or people. This loving, spoiled pup is looking for his forever family who will keep him safe and well cared for the rest of his life. Simba is about 20 pounds and 3-4 yrs old. Please help Simba find the loving home he deserves. Update: Simba tested positive for Ehrlichia, a common tick borne disease similar to Lymes. He is being treated with the usual course of oral antibiotic which he can take and complete with his new family.
