About Sophie

Extremely urgent!!! SOS OPERATION SAVE SOFPIE! Could be killed any day at high kill shelter. They are killing her friends please dont her be next. Foster or adopter needed. A volunteer describes her as follows:' Sophie is totally shut down right now. I was able to get her out of her kennel and to an indoor bullpen area. But, even getting her out of the loud pavillion did not seem to bring her much comfort. Sophie's tail was tucked the whole time we were out and she sought refuge under a chair. She allowed me to pet her, but I wanted to respect her needs to go slow so I didn't push it. While she was out, we introduced her to sweet Paxon (dog) to see if he could help her feel more comfortable. She didn't react to him one way or another. Sophie is a beautiful dog who clearly had past litters and is devastated to be living at the shelter. I know eventually she will come out of her shell, but it is going to take her some time. Sophie seemed relieved to go back to her kennel when I brought her there - probably because she could curl up up and hide.' Please consider saving her. Fostering is free of charge and everything is provided within a 90 mile range of Chicago. Volunteers are willing to help with transport.
