About Canela

Urgent!!! Shketer is full and dogs are being killed. She could be next. Foster or adopterneeded to save this sweet gal. 'Canela is a totally unique looking dog!! She's a low rider with a long body, huge ears and a widow's peak! And sadly, her last 'owners' did not quite appreciate her fine looks - she was surrendered, at 10 months old, because: she got too big for the kids. It's so crazy how puppies grow in to dog... huh?!?! hehe Canela is more than just good looks -- she's a really, really good girl. Canela seemed a bit stressed as we walked through the yard. But, once in a medical run, she melted like butter and was nothing but sweetness. She showed me her sit and took treats nicely. She allowed me to handle her all over and move her around so I could get cute pics of her. Canela spent some time looking outside the run, checking out everyone passing by - and perhaps looking for the family who left her here. But, she was really gentle and kind. It's too bad her owners thought she was too big for them-I guess they didn't realize puppies grow up?' Written by a volunteer.
