About Norman

CODE RED MASTIFF NEEDS A HOME. A little bit of background information, Norman was an owner surrender and completely shut down in his kennel. He would not stand, come to his kennel door, or let anyone leash him. Volunteers and staff spent weeks working with him but he was eventually code red due to the shelters capacity in combination with his temperament. Volunteers offered to sponsor his boarding fees to save his life and he spent several weeks working with the shelters contracted trained and made awesome improvements. He can be walked by a variety of people now, petted, and leashed going in and out of his kennel. We were hoping to find a foster once his training was done but unfortunately we have been unable to find one and he is now back at the shelter and code red again. Norman is 8 years old, approximately 85 pounds, neutered, heartworm negative, fully-vaccinated, microchipped. He has done well with other calm, submissive dogs. He would benefit from an experienced Mastiff owner as he can be a grumpy old man and does not like to be showered with affection. Please let me know if you can help Norman.
