About Joji19

Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

I was rescued from a horrible fate after I was picked up as a stray and tested FELV+. I was dirty, hungry, scared and all alone. My foster mom got me cleaned up and now I am living the good life. I am believed to be part Maine Coon and I do have the physical characteristics along with the chirping/trilling noises I make all the time. I rarely just Meow like the rest of my foster family. I have lots of energy and love to play with my little sis. We chase each other and wrestle most of our waking hours. I also like to give her baths when we are resting and if she lets me. When I am stretching out my long body, I usually lay on my back. Sometimes I sleep like that, too. I don't try to play with the dog, but she seems nice enough. I like to be held and carried around and I will come lay on my foster mommy's chest whether she is laying down or sitting up. My mom calls me a mouth breather because my mouth is open a lot. She says it adds to my character. I also enjoy lounging in high locations and looking out the window. If you meet me in person, you will see how truly handsome I am (so I am told) and hopefully give me a happy ever after! A note on FeLV-positive cats: They can live with other species (dogs, bunnies and so on), but must be the ONLY CAT or live with other felines who also have the disease. Leukemia-positive cats must be kept indoors and fed the best possible diet. Regular vet checkups are crucial for maintaining health. They may not live as long as other cats, but they can enjoy a good quality of life as long as they receive excellent care. Because FeLV-positive cats' immune systems are weak, they need aggressive treatment of any infections.
