About Liam

Adoption Fee: $150
Siamese / Domestic Cat
Age: Young Kitten
Sex: Male

This is Liam! This gorgeous boy is searching for his forever home. He is a dilute blue lynx point with gorgeous markings. Dilute lynx points have points that gradually darken towards the tips of their points but retain the most stunning pastel markings on much of their 'points'. He is about 18 - 20 weeks old. Liam has been neutered, is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP), microchipped and combo tested negative. His backstory is sad. His mama, Ebony and her friend Lily had 11 babies together and were in a high kill shelter in Southern Texas. Both were young mothers about 8 months old at the time. They were very sick. They were named The Miracle Families because they were very sick and covered in fleas and ticks. Shelter staff were about to euthanise both families immediately when a volunteer walked through the shelter. Struck with compassion for these two brave moms and their babies, she rescued them. Unable to keep them herself, she raised funds for medical care, and found a temporary foster home in the community. They were placed in foster care, which saved their lives. They raised their litter of 9 surviving babies jointly. However due to the overwhelming number of kittens born this summer, they received insufficient human socialization in their previous foster home. They were recently transferred to our rescue in groups of three for socializing so they can be adopted. Liam has made great progress and will soon be ready for adoption. He spends a lot of time in a little papoose body carrier, strapped to his foster mom Dee as she goes about her day looking after the cats and kittens. Our rescue is located in New Braunfels, Texas which is where most of our cats are being fostered unless stated otherwise. Transportation to most of the US can be arranged but please note we tend to prioritize instate adoptions and travel to northeast and midwest due to the number of volunteer drivers on those routes. We do not transport to Florida or California due to the high number of homeless Siamese already located there. Transportation fees would include the cost of a travel carrier, a few basic supplies for the trip (about $70) and a veterinarian's health certificate ($89). If adopting 2 cats they may be able to share a carrier and certificate. Transportation within state can also be arranged with volunteers for the cost of a travel crate and a modest donation for gas money. None of our cats have been tested around dogs or small children but unless otherwise stated all our cats or kittens can live with other cats provided the correct slow introduction process is followed. We provide information on animal integrations prior to adoption. A minimum donation is required as part of each adoption, which is a contribution towards routine veterinary costs (including spay/neuter surgery, microchip, flea/worm meds), non-routine vet costs (antibiotics), food, litter and other care costs while the cats and kittens are with us. Please do not ask us to reduce the requested donation. Email us with any questions or to request an application at [email protected] Please provide the state in which you reside when contacting us.
