About Louie

Louie is a sweet, loving, cuddly approximately 5 year old female lab mix and is around 45 pounds. She is amazing with people and has been around children and infants. Her favorite thing is belly rubs and snuggling on the couch! She also loves to run around the yard and chasing lizards! We believe she had a hard life and was rescued originally in Louisiana (hence where she got the name, Louie ) after being left during Hurricane Harvey.We do also believe she was neglected/ abused before being rescued in 2016 and has some residual anxiety/fears; she is also petrified of storms-though her Thundershirt helps some! She needs to be the only dog in the home as she has shown signs of territorial behaviors when it comes to seeing critters outside she wants and has had two episodes of biting her female dog 'sisters' when seeing these critters (one was an armadillo, one a lizard) She has only shown aggression those two times in the two years since she was rescued and is 99% of the time a gentle, timid, sometimes shy soul. As heartbroken as we are, have decided it is not the ideal living situation for Louie to live out her long, happy life since we have two other dogs and our female dog got in the way of Louie and a lizard she wanted. We will provide you with a 12 month supply of heartworm and flea/tick medication. She is also up to date on all vaccines. Louie is not spayed or microchipped. She is house trained, crate trained, leash trained and knows a few tricks (sit, stay,etc.) If you are looking for a calm, people-loving, cuddly pup-Louie is the perfect fit for you!
