About Sammy

Looking for a furever home with a loving, patient new human who'll let me get to know them. ~ Sammy is a 5yr old Siamese mix. She had 1 litter before being spayed. She needs a special home where she'll be given time to adjust to her new family. She's so worth it!! Sammy is very loving, affectionate and a lap cat. She likes to sleep in a cat bed, or with her human. Sammy does not like to be picked up or held because of a visit with a very insensitive vet who traumatized her by pinning her down very hard. Now, she sometimes needs to be sedated before being examined. It was horrible for her (and me!), so she still fears being grabbed and hurt. She'll let you pick her up to put her in a carrier or on your bed, etc. Being gentle goes a long way with her. On her own, she'll sit in your lap and snuggle. She would not be good with young kids who may pick her up. Otherwise, she does love people, mostly women, likes dogs, and most other cats. Sammy likes to be the Queen, though, and will claim her human as 'hers.' She loves to hunt outside but sleeps indoors. With the right person, Sammy will bond to you and love you so much. She likes to give face kisses, too. When that happens, you know she loves you very much and trusts you. She is box trained, loves Rachel Ray Dry food, and sometimes canned food and treats. She loves to play with toys, especially shoe laces. Included is a cat box, some food, and her favorite blanket. Will you give Sammy a chance? This move is going to be hard on her, but love will conquer all.
