About Champ

He is the Champion, my friends!!! At about 2 and a half years old, he's already been through a lot. Unfortunately, he doesn't know English and can't tell us exactly what he's been through- so we just do our best and give him all of the love and patience anyway! He has overcome heartworms and came strong out of his treatment! Champ is a quiet and timid boy, but with some quality time, warms up and would like to sit next to you outside on the porch. He loves his crate, and even prefers to be in it at times. He has excellent kennel manners and doesn't mind the cats, dogs, or children he has met. He shows the same reluctance to any living being, but once he gives em a good sniff doesn't mind them a bit. He won't necessarily play with them, but he won't mind them doing so. Champ is intimidated by really large groups of people (10+), but shows his feelings by hunkering down on the ground- he refuses to show any kind of aggression from fear. The day he came from the pound was the day he was scheduled to be put down, and the first time he saw a little kitten was the first time his tail wagged- that's how his foster mom knew he had such a compassionate and sweet soul. Champ's most favorite thing in the world are large Greenies (original flavor), and will be yours in a heartbeat if you have some to offer!
