About Wren

Wren is a rescue pup. We have had her since she was 2 months old. She is high energy with laser focus like the heeler but is also very protective of our home like the German Shepherd in her. She loves to play ball/frisbee and run. She is very loyal to her family, but her energy together with the mix of my young children is not going well. Wren is very smart and does excellent in her kennel. She is kenneled while we are gone during the work day and at night when she sleeps, with no accidents. She goes to the door when she needs out and comes back to be let in. She is leash trained (but gets agitated with cyclists and skateboards) but does very well otherwise. Wren is very agile and quick and would be an amazing agility dog or fun to train. She knows sit, stay, break and does well with picking things up quickly. I honestly believe Wren has a lot to offer the right person. She would do best in a home without other dogs or possibly with an alpha dog. No young kids, but maybe older kids. She would benefit from some one on one attention and training. Wren needs to find her PERSON, she is best in a 1-1 situation. She is currently on Reconcile (Prozac for dogs) and it has helped with her anxiety tremendously. We do have a cat and while Wren has never hurt her, she is always obsessed with knowing where she is and tracking/trying to find her. Wren is 1 year old now and weighs about 40lbs. She is very compact and a great size.
