Beautiful Vita blessed my life in late January. We think that she is either a Presa or Cane Corso Mastiff and about 5-6 years old. Vita is spayed and up to date on all her vaccines. Sadly we recently found out that Vita is heartworm positive and in the process of treatment. I believe that she was used excessively for breeding and probably mistreated by men. It is obvious that she lacks trust in people. She doesn't show aggression but is very nervous. She does well with cats and other calm dogs. She loves my 2 year Boxer but doesn't appreciate when he plays too rough. I highly recommend that sweet soulful Vita get placed into a home without small children or active large dogs. She has an extremely calm and shy demeanor. Loves belly rubs, pizza, and chicken skin! When I first got Vita she was very sick and I had to hospitalize her for Mycoplasma, anorexia, and malnutrition. Besides that she's been doing great. She had a mild arrhythmia due to malnutrition that has since subsided. Her echocardiogram came back unremarkable and all her lab work since has been within the normal limits. Vita has had a rough start to life and deserves a second chance.
