About Eleanor

Australian Cattle Dog / Border Collie
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Eleanor is a Heeler mix (as heelers are)! Eleanor will be 1 yr old on November 16. Sadly, she spent the first 10 months of her life out in her small back yard and wasn't shown much kindness. She is humble and wants to learn...a lot. Eleanor knows how to sit and lay down and is learning 'stay'. She told me that she wants to be an inside dog, but she also likes to go out a lot. She loves going on walks, but RUNNING is THE BEST! She would also love to try sheep, goat or cow herding! Eleanor's ideal home would have a nice-sized yard and a doggy companion to play with. She needs someone who understands dogs' needs and isn't just starting out. Eleanor would especially like a home where there is someone usually at home; and when they do go out, they take her with them. In a family with kids, she is likely to want to herd them....we feel older children or adults only are best. She would be a great running partner and fellow hiker. She is especially comfortable with women and does get a little nervous around some men. She likes to keep busy until she's tired. Chew bones that last a little while are great; throwing around a toy for a while is great too. Eleanor is very empathetic and very huggable and she is great at relaxing after a run and fun! We are unable to keep Eleanor, ourselves. We already have two older dogs and we can't spend the time to train her, like she DESERVES. She really wants a FOREVER FUREVER home and we will wait until we find the perfect match! Please contact Daisy if you are interested in meeting Eleanor at (505) 264-4226.
