About Luke Skywalker

Meet Luke (Skywalker). He is searching for his forever home. Luke is a gorgeous male siamese mix kitten. (We have mainly girl kittens this year in Texas - a phenomenon that is due to the unusually hot summer) He has medium length soft fur like an angora kitty and beautiful blue eyes. At first glance, Luke looks all white. We recently saw the beginnings of a dilute flame point colorpoint coat starting to come in. His paws, tail tip and nose have very subtle apricot shading. But it's only visible up close and in good lighting. And some small gray patches have also appeared on the back of his head and back. As of the date of this post (August 11) he is a couple of months old. He and his sister Allie (posted separately) were abandoned as orphans in a paper bag at the Alamo. There was a third baby but it didn't make it. They were tiny (under half a pound) and sick. Dee nursed them back to health and bottle fed them round the clock. They are now healthy and happy babies! Luke is more than twice the size of his sister Allie. Luke is 5.8 pounds already - huge for his age! - and little Allie is tiny at only 2.6 pounds. As a bottle fed kitten, Luke is especially loving and cuddly. We would love Luke to find a home with Allie, they are very bonded. He will be up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Tested FIV/Felv negative. Our rescue is located in New Braunfels, Texas which is where most of our cats are being fostered unless stated otherwise. Transportation to most of the US can be arranged but please note we tend to prioritize instate adoptions and travel to northeast and midwest due to the number of volunteer drivers on those routes. We do not transport to Florida or California due to the high number of homeless Siamese already located there. Transportation fees would include the cost of a travel carrier, a few basic supplies for the trip (about $70) and a veterinarian's health certificate ($89). If adopting 2 cats they may be able to share a carrier and certificate. Transportation within state can also be arranged with volunteers for the cost of a travel crate and a modest donation for gas money. None of our cats have been tested around dogs or small children but unless otherwise stated all our cats or kittens can live with other cats provided the correct slow introduction process is followed. We provide information on animal integrations prior to adoption. A minimum donation is required as part of each adoption, which is a contribution towards routine veterinary costs (including spay/neuter surgery, microchip, flea/worm meds), non-routine vet costs (antibiotics), food, litter and other care costs while the cats and kittens are with us.
