Greetings from RUFUS! I am just a little guy who had a rough encounter with a big dog .... yep, I came out of it OK but now have a slight impairment that limits me to very short walks. But I am so tiny, wouldn't you just want to cuddle and carry me everywhere anyhow? Please also note, I am quite the fashionista and love to dress up in sweaters and t-shirts and love to burrow under the covers to keep my little body warm! The vet believes I am about 5 years old, a sweet, gentle fellow who wants to have my own human to love. After taking care of me, the vet also made sure I was neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and ready for my forever home. Although I don't realize I have 'special needs', due to my limited walking ability, my foster mom says I need a quiet home with no more than one other small, gentle dog as I could easily be knocked down by a bigger dog or playful kitties or small children. I cannot navigate stairs and no pools, please, as I would not survive a fall in a pool. I have learned to go up and down the one step from the house to the patio and walk to the yard for potty breaks! I love exploring in the grassy yard while foster momma watches me... outdoor supervision is a must for this little defenseless pup! My adoption fee of $175 helps with medical expenses of the rescue.
