They are also very strong-willed and stubborn, which makes them a challenging breed to own. If the dog disagrees with your rules or doesn't like being corrected for a behavior, they will let you know. They can hold grudges for up to a few days. Tibbie would fall into this category. Trying to dominate him as pack leader, would be futile - potential owners need to carefully pick their battles. Although he lives with other dogs in his foster home, he tries to show dominance with dogs his size and 'bullies' larger dogs. He would probably do better as the only dog. He is good with cats. He has seizures which have been successfully controlled with medication. However, missing a dose or losing track of the timing between doses can result in a seizure. Please note - we only do adoptions in our geographical area (Northern California). We are looking for families that have proven experience with the breed.
