Mr. Banjo is a sweet, dear gentleman who has captured the hearts of ALL our volunteers. Banjo is a six year old soft, short-haired chestnut-brown Labrador/Pit Bull mix who loves to adventure in the mountains, bask on the beach, and wander the meadow (and he enjoys the car rides to get to those places.) He walks very well on leash, and knows how to sit and lie down. He is particularly adorable when he curls himself up into his blanket for a nap %BD'%BD| and only is nose pokes out - such a pumpkin! Banjo has allergies and receives regularly scheduled baths and medication. He will most likely need medication for the rest of his life. Despite this, Banjo's personality is low-key and chill, much preferring to hang with you in the sunbeams rather than chase tennis balls (although he'll do that for a bit if you prefer). Banjo is not fond of cats so it's a cat-free home for him. He would need to meet any dogs that may become his housemates and he will need a fully fenced yard. Please come meet this debonair snugglebunny - he will soon warm your heart too! Call the Clatsop County Animal Shelter in Warrenton, Oregon (outside of Astoria) at 503-861-7387 to schedule a time to meet Banjo. The shelter is open noon to 4:00 Tuesday through Saturday. You can also send email inquiries to [email protected].
