About Dusty Britches

Dusty is a 4 year old male Shorkie (Yorkie/ Shih Tzu), about 6 pounds. He is playful with other small dogs or even by himself with a favorite toy. He LOVES to snuggle and be loved on. He has lived with two large dogs, one pup his size, two adult cats, chickens and a baby kitten. He's interested in them but that's about it. He's a very quiet guy that just wants love. Good on a leash, great for the groomer, does fine in the car, but it's not his favorite. He came into rescue matted and emaciated. He has made an amazing transformation. He still needs some weight but this little man is one very picky eater! Foster mom, Mindi, has searched out all his favorite foods and can pass that information along. But please be prepared for special meal preparation. He's not a plain old dog food kinda guy! Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Notice: We do not ship dogs out of state. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
