About Lizzie

Adoption Fee: 50
Dachshund / Beagle
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Hello Rescue Me Family! This is Lizzie. She is a high energy, goofy, loving, and cuddly Dachshund/Beagle mix. We rescued her from Arkansas 6 years ago-ish. Currently, she is in a house with a 9 year old Beagle female, a 5 year old male cat, and a 5 year old female cat. Occasionally she likes to play with them, but they don't like to play back. Our house also has a 2 year old toddler who loves Lizzie very much. So much that she will let Lizzie eat her snacks. We think Lizzie would be better suited for a younger couple that is high energy, a couple with slightly older children around the ages of 6 or 7 and up (or a tall 4-5 year old haha), and can make sure she has plenty of toys to chew on. Lizzie does not like to be left alone. She gets very sad and lonely and can sometimes work herself into a panic. If she hears really loud banging (i.e. guns, very loud obnoxious people, or construction trucks) she gets a little scared. But so do most humans so lets be honest about that one. All in all, if you want a loyal, one dog in the house type dog who will make sure she keeps you warm at night, makes you laugh with her goofy antics, and will be so excited when you get home she will literally run all over to celebrate, she is the right girl for you. If you have a dog or cat already, she will usually ask for more attention so if you are ok with that, then that's ok...she is still a baby at heart. We are asking for the adoption fee of $50. We ask this because the last time we tried adopting out another foster, they couldn't afford the adoption fee and ended up surrendering that dog to the pound. This will NOT happen again. If you can afford the adoption fee, this includes Liz, her crate and crate mat, her toys, leash, collar, a 5lb bag of the food she is currently on, and nail trimming by her human mama when needed (if you are in a decent distance of us). We are also screening for Liz so if you are ok with answering a few questions we will email back to your response we will greatly appreciate it. Thank you and you won't be disappointed. She is a true love bug.
