About Harper

He is an 8 year old pure breed border collie. He does to fetch, swim, run, and play. He is a very sweet dog and loves to cuddle. He is the perfect dog for a family without small children. After a long and tearful conversation, re-homing is the right option for our boy and would be putting his needs above ours. Over the years, he has become more and more anxious with the unpredictability and sometimes sheer chaos that comes with raising small children. On top of that, we live in an area where there is constant traffic coming into his territory and it seems like there is no chance for him to be at peace. We devote as much time to his mental and physical stimulation as we can, and try to give him outlets for his stress. We've been in continuous consult with the vet as well for suggestions on how to help manage his anxiety. He is just not the same dog he once was and is not happy. It breaks our hearts to see him this way. We love our sweet, sensitive Harper, but want to do what's best for him.
