About Paxon

Urgent!! Sweet Paxon needs your help to be able to live his life! 'The first time I approached Paxon's kennel, I noticed those amazing ears and wrinkly joker-esque smile. What a unique looking boy. He gave me tail wags and a few licks on my hand. Upon opening the door, he happily came forward but once he saw the leash, he retreated. It took some time for me to get him leashed and walking on the leash was another process. Poor guy. We went into a run quickly to help calm him. Paxon spent much of our time together pacing, owner searching, along with some crying. It was heartbreaking. He would often come check in with me and give me several hand licks, as if to let me know he wants to be my friend but is wondering where he is. Paxon has pretty nice teeth and allowed for handling all over. He didn't show me any commands yet and didn't want any treats. He also has some pretty nasty healing wounds on the back tips of his ears which may be from fly bites. Paxon went back into kennel easily and was happy to get some canned food. We look forward to helping show him that the leash is a good sign.Paxon is SUCH a good boy!! He is so even keeled around other dogs and we have been using him to help shy dogs come out of their shell - he's definitely paying it forward. He is a great size - not too big, not too small and so easy to handle...and easy on the eyes! We just love this guy!' Written by volunteer.
