About Twizzler

Tall, dark, and handsome! Twizzler is a 4 yo, Chow/Shiba Inu mix with a gorgeous, soft, red coat. He is a sweet and loving boy who enjoys people and getting tons of butt and back scratches ? Here is some 'about me' info that his foster would like to share..... ?Twizzler, is such a great dog. He is handsome, happy, silly, sweet, snuggley, calm, just a well mannered good boy who loves to be around his people. He has so many great qualities I'd need five pages to list them all! He enjoys spending time with his person, whether it be cuddles, playing or just hanging out. ? One of his favorite things to do is spend time with his person. He'll come up to you and sit against you with his back to you and just enjoy you petting him. He loves being pet and all the affection, he can get. If you sit by him he'll put his head on your leg looking up at you for pets. The one day I was sitting on the floor and he was around 6ft from me, he belly crawled over to put his head on me. Twizzler is a leaner and will lean on your legs while you're giving him butt/ back scratches. He likes to stay right by his person the majority of the time, the rest of the time is spent chilling out doing his own thing. ?Twizzler loves treats! He isn't too picky about what kind of treats, and is happy with anything that tastes good, He will proudly show off his tricks to get them! He knows Sit, and shake with both paws. If you have something he wants he'll try giving you his paw in exchange for what you have. If that doesn't work he'll put his head on you with those gorgeous big puppy dog eyes staring up at you, who can resist? ?He does an absolutely adorable happy dance when its time to eat, complete with 360 spins and a funny sit at the end with his head tilted slightly back looking up at you! He always sits and waits for you to put the bowl down before digging in. ?He enjoys being outside, and will sometimes get really excited and start doing the cutest zoomies across the yard. After all his zoomies are out he likes to roll in the grass. He loves playing with soft plush type balls and will run around with them in his mouth. Twizzler enjoys the great outdoors and likes going on walks almost as much as he likes running in the yard. He is leash trained, and doesn't pull when walking. ?Twizzler is dog friendly, but can be apprehensive with new dogs, slow introductions are needed to make sure he is comfortable with them. Once he gets to know the new doggies, he really enjoys playing with them. He really likes to play with the group and run all over the yard in it. He is very vocal when he plays and likes himself to be heard. He's well mannered and respectful in doggie language when he plays. ?Twizzler rides really well in the car, is calm during the ride. He enjoys looking out the window at everything going on. On longer trips he'll lay down and go to sleep. Grooming isn't his favorite thing, after all he has much better doggie things to do than baths. He will stand still for a bath, but wants to share the love and shakes often to make sure you get just as showered as he does. He will stand still and calm for brushing with no protest. ?In the house Twizzler is potty trained. Generally well mannered. He doesn't get into anything he is not supposed to, you can leave a bag of treats or dog food on the counter and he wont get into it because he's a good boy. I've tried to convince Twizzler the bed and couches are a good place to be, but he doesn't get on the furniture on his own, I've picked him up and put him on the bed and he'll cuddle and snuggle, but he wont jump up by himself. He likes to sleep right by the side of the bed, closest to you and appreciates a blanket to lay on. ?Twizzler is an all around great dog. He is calm when he needs to be, but has the energy to run around and play when calm isn't required. He's just so sweet and loving, he deserves to be spoiled in a furever home. He's shown that he is very trainable and would like to learn new tricks to show off, so he can get more treats! He can't wait to find his forever person and never leave their side. He has so much love to give and can't wait to shower someone with it! All Twizzler asks for is love, affection, food, treats, and toys, in return he'll show you how loyal and loving he is. He truly is a special dog.... While in our care Twizzler has been fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and is UTD on all vaccines and preventatives. He is house trained.
