About Ralphy

Ralphy is a handsome senior searching for a home to give him the snuggles he deserves. Ralphy is a 12 year old , 12 pound Dachshund mix who is super soft and a snuggle champion! Ralphy loves car rides and is an easy going boy. A submissive boy, he can be a bit shy but he is not fearful and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Ralphy would do well in a home with respectful children over the age of 7 years. Ralphy loves to snuggle once he gets to know a person a little bit. Ralphy walks well on a leash although he will occasionally pull a bit. He will bark when he is excited, and loves to 'talk' to people! Ralphy sleeps in the big bed in his foster home in South Carolina and would love a home that would let him continue to have big bed privileges. A sound sleeper, sweet Ralphy will stay in bed with you all night and only get up when you do. Ralphy is house trained and stays in a crate when his foster family is away from home. Like all dachshunds he will need to be confident in their environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important.
