About Axl

Axl is a very sweet boy. He is a big baby actually. He enjoys being outside and laying in the sun on warm days. But he also loves to be indoors and surrounded by the people who love him. He is a cuddler and sometimes thinks he is a lap dog. Sadly, he was abused in the past, and due to that he does have separation anxiety issues, and when no one is home, he would need to be in a yard that is fenced in so that he has the feeling of not being left alone so to speak. During storms, he tends to get anxious and barks at the thunder as well. He is not the type of dog that can be left indoors alone due to his history before he was brought to us. We are no longer able to care for him in the way he deserves and needs, so we are having to look for his perfect forever home. We both are working full time jobs and are not able to be home with him. The perfect home for him would be someone who is a work from home type, or stay at home mom or dad. He is great with kids and cats. Other dogs really are indifferent. We think he would be ok with other dogs because he does play with the neighbors dogs, it would just be an adjustment for him to not be the only one. He does tend to chase the smaller dogs, but it seems to be all in play, not to cause harm. Would rather him meet your other dogs, if any, to see how they react to each other.
