About Foxy

Hello! My name is Foxy, and I'm a lovable, obedient, intelligent, and active 68-pound black and tan German Shepherd Dog mix gal who was born in August 2016. I have a short, coarse coat that is flatter than a German Shepherd's usual double coat, so I will shed less and require less grooming than a purebred GSD. I'm great with all animals as well as humans. In short, I'm as sweet as they get! I was found wandering the streets as an intact female by a Good Samaritan, who took me to get scanned for a microchip. Actually, I was chipped, but my owners must not have kept their contact information current because they never responded to repeated calls. So my rescue-angel did the next-best thing: she got me fully vetted and brought me to Buster's Friends for help in finding me a fabulous forever home. Although I'm fully trained (including crate-trained) already, I'm taking a refresher obedience course while I await my new home. That way, I'll be even more perfect than I already am when I become your best forever friend! German Shepherds make loyal, gentle family pets with soft hearts when given plenty of guidance, love, and attention while young. We're eager-to-please yet fiercely protective of our family. We can adapt to small living quarters as long as we're given plenty of regular exercise. Of course, as service dogs we need to be highly intelligent, confident, courageous, and trainable, so my genes make me a dog of high character, heroic prowess, and exceptional brain power!
