About Sylvester

Sylvester is a 7 year old tuxedo and he's a big boy but such a gentle giant! He came to us December 2018 after being fed outside for years. He was not a feral. He had somebody taking care of him outside but they never wanted to bring him in. We heard stories that he would come and sit on this person's lap during the summer days. Finally they reached out for help. By the time we were able to get him in and get him vetted, one of their cats had passed away and they told us that they were willing to take Sylvester in their home. We turned him back over to their care. Everything was going well, until his owner met somebody who supposedly was allergic and so she put him back outside. It wasn't until a short time ago, when he had a wound under his chin, that we got a call that he was back outside and hurt. She told us that he had swelling in his mouth and under his face, and that there was a bleeding wound. We were able to get him, and the injury was almost certainly a warble exit hole. The warble had already made its way out. Luckily after some antibiotics it healed up rather quickly. He is such a sweet boy! We want to find him a home full of love and kindness for the rest of his life so he never has to fend for himself and look over his shoulder ever again. Will you open your heart to Sylvester?
