About Sal

Urgent!! Heartbreaker!! Volunteers tells his story as follows: 'Sal will simultaneously fill your heart and break it. Upon meeting him, you will quickly sense this is a very special boy, with an indescribable spirit. He is super easy to handle and walks very well on leash. He was found tied up in a dirty lot by a good Samaritan who helped save him. Sal is a gentle giant (at least 70#) and seems to be in the senior age category, at least 6 years. He is riddled with old scars and even a fresh, sutured one on his chest. Confusingly, Sal also seems really sad to be here, often just lays down outside and sometimes puts the breaks on going back inside. It actually speaks volumes of how stressful shelter life is with its often prolonged cage confinement is for a dog. This is not living and Sal knows it. Sal deserves better than being tied up in a dirty lot and better than a shelter. Who wants to step up and help show this sweet senior what life is meant to be like?'
