About Ferrell

Pal's Place would love to introduce you to Ferrell, an adorable, curious, friendly and outgoing puppy looking for a forever home. Just like his namesake, Will Ferrell, he is a fun-loving and silly pup that will do anything for a laugh! He is currently about 5 months old (October 15) and weighs around 23 pounds. We are expecting him to be in the 40-55 pound range when fully grown so a nice medium size! He was originally rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky along with his 9 littermates. All of his siblings have found their forever homes but Ferrell is still patiently waiting. The puppies were the result of an accidental litter of the family dog and when the pups were old enough off to the pound they went :-( We were told the mother was a hound mix and the father was unknown but it looks like Lab or Pointer could be somewhere in his heritage and possibly some Boxer. Both parents were likely mixed breeds, so he is truly a Heinze 57 mix, but he is 110% adorable! Ferrell is in a foster home where is he learning new stuff every day! He is working and his crate training and housebreaking and is doing excellent when kept on a schedule. He loves humans of all ages and also enjoys the company of other dogs. We think he'll fit in easily to most households! Please keep in mind that puppies this age need frequent potty breaks (every 3-4 hours or so) and lots of playtime during the day for the next several months so please consider if you truly have the time for a puppy prior to applying. His adoption fee to the rescue is $375. This fee helps to cover his medical expenses while in our care. He is up-to-date with age-appropriate vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Since he is in a foster home, he can be seen by appointment only after an application has been received and approved.
