About Champ

Weighing in at 51.6 lbs. Please Welcome Second Chance 'Champ'. Champ is a handsome 1 year old Blue Fawn male (neutered) terrier. Pictures do not do justice to this young man's coloring. You need to meet this Lil Knock Out in person! Champ's time in the ring at Cook County Animal Control had come to an end. He was due to be euthanized on 8-2-19... but Champ is one of the luckiest canine's ever and with the help of several CACC volunteers and great team work and effort on the part of several suburban volunteer rescue groups, Champ's decision was unanimously overturned and he was released to a committed foster home! Champ won that round hands down! Since Champ's arrival to foster care he has shown that he will not throw any low blows, loves Zoomies in the back yard and long naps on the deck as well as on his fosters lap. He knows the ropes as far as basic commands like sit, stay, down, wait and leave it. Champ is both crate and house trained. Champ has gotten along well with all of the dogs, adults, kids, horses and kitty cats that he has met in his foster home and is fast becoming 'the favorite ' at the local farmer's markets that he loves to frequent each week.
