About Diane von Furstenberg

Hi there! My name is Diane von Furstenberg, but my foster mama calls me Jolene or JoJo. I'm a goofy, playful girl looking for her forever home! Do you have a low-key family looking for a companion for your other pup? Then look no further, I'm your girl! I'm a Beagle mix at 27 pounds and 5 years old, but age is just a number! When I'm playing with my fur foster siblings, I love running around and playing with toys. I can be a total quirky goofball when I'm happy! I enjoy being around my own kind, so I should go to a home where there is another dog, so I can learn the ropes from them. I am shy when it comes to meeting new people, so I hope my new family can be understanding that I will need time to warm up to them. I'm not super fond of people reaching out to me to try and love on me, but I show my love by giving a big beagle bay and having a wiggle butt! I'm great in the crate, as it is my safe space, so it's where I go to relax. I'm working on being completely consistent with potty training, as I might have an accident here or there, but am great at holding it when I'm in my crate while my foster mom is at work. I walk super well on leash, but would love a home with a fenced-in yard for me to run around and explore in. After all, I am a Beagle and love to sniff! This dog tested positive for Ehrlichia and Anaplasmosis before arriving to the rescue. These are very common type of bacteria that infects dogs and other species and is spread by ticks. Neither is contagious to humans or other pets. The only way to get either is to be bitten by a tick that carries it. The treatment is typically 21-30 days of antibiotics.
