Ruby is an active and smart young girl. She learns new commands easily and is 100% house broken. She loves to run and LOVES to play ball! She was a rescue from a kill shelter as a puppy and her first owner had a hard time keeping up with her. She ran away and, while she was on the run, she was hit by a car, breaking her right front leg. Her leg was not set and she has a permanent limp, but it hasn't slowed her down at all. Our vet said that its best if we leave it as it is. She is very smart and affectionate. She has learned the basics including sit, lay down, stay and go to bed. She still has some issues on a leash, as she will get distracted by other pedestrians and other dogs. We don't have enough time to work with her but we have no doubt she will settle down with a little more work guidance. She needs a lot of attention. Unfortunately, she wants all of the attention. If other pets are with her, she can be very dominant. We have another dog that is older and we just can't keep them both. Ruby is just too active. She would be happiest in a single pet home with someone who is active and/or has a yard.
