About Evie

Momma Evie! Evie was brought to the shelter in June 2019, emaciated and very pregnant. We believe she may have been someone's pet at some point because she is so well behaved indoors, yet was likely kept in a backyard and overbred for the later part of her years. A few weeks after arriving at the shelter, she gave birth to 10 puppies! She became very depressed and even more malnourished trying to take care of her babies. As soon as they were 6 wks old, we placed Evie in a foster home so she could heal and get the much deserved attention and love she needed! A couple weeks after she was in foster, she was bitten by a venomous snake and had to be rushed to the vet for emergency attention! Thank goodness she pulled through. She has faced some tough challenges in her life but has overcome them all. Now, she's determined to find her forever family! She is about 7 years old, 45-50lb, heartworm negative, spayed, up to date on all vaccinations and prevention, and microchipped. She is housebroken and crate trained! She enjoys her days playing in the yard with her large and small dog friends, sunning herself, staying FAR away from snakes, and watching TV on the couch with her foster dad.
