She was being sold by a lady who had bought her to breed. When I saved her, she was tied outside to a trampoline, partly in the sun, with a very small water dish in the sun. She has a very small build, a long natural tail, beautiful cream with apricot ears. She loves to ride, minds so good, is now 100% house trained, loves all the other standard poodles here, is very smart and fast, loves to 'sneak up on any sleeping standard and leap on them, ensuring they are upset and play with her', loves to play chase, fetch, easy to groom, likes to be with humans, is on a grain free diet, is gaining weight but will be small, loves toys, can not wait for her treats, loves to be outside where she can run fast and free in safely fenced land, is not a barker but will alert me to anyone who comes up. Belle is so sweet and loving. She is easy to groom, likes being brushed, & waits her turn in the evening, sitting in a circle for her big, hard chew treat. Standards love to chew so I always keep lots of hard, different flavor treats they can grab anytime. ***Saw the vet for a check-up 10/30/19, still hasn't fixed his big scales , but he said she was a beauty, not shy like she was when he first saw her, just loved how much she has grown, she- could not wait to go inside & sure knows where his office is now & how friendly she is now.Standards drink lots of water, according to play and weather will drink over 64 OZ. a day. To adopt: *** YOU MUST have a FENCED yard.*** You must be home with Bell and not leave her more than 3/4 hours. NO children under 10, no elderly small dogs. NO...NO BREEDERS....I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE OR WHAT YOU HAVE. I RESCUE- I WILL CHECK TO BE CERTAIN, EVEN IF THE RESCES ARE ALTERED- NO BREEDERS NEED APPLY. This is a PUPPY who will do best with other Standard Poodles to learn from and play with. If you have Standard Poodle Experience, that is a plus. Each standard is different and I always seek the right home for each personality. ^^^You must fill out the # 1 AP first, then we will talk. NO, I need to know you are serious and know how to care for standards. I do check all references and do home checks. Belle is a great companion. She is a very social girl and I find myself taking her with me on visits, to the nursing homes, assisted living, clinics, and on errands. This girl loves to go. SHE IS TREATED JUST LIKE FAMILY. CAN ROAM AROUND ANYWHERE THAT IS SAFE. SHE HAD TO LEARN WHAT IS HUMANS AND WHAT SHE CAN PLAY WITH. BELIEVE ME, YOU WILL NEVER BE ALONE IF SHE SHOULD CHOSE YOU. It is humbling knowing how she was treated then seeing her trust me, gain confidence, realize she will always be safe now, she knows she will always have all the clean water she wants, treats, fruits/veggies to snack on, treats, will be loved on, & knows I may talk loud sometimes but she will never be harmed, & is a great companion. /each POODLE HAS THEIR OWN ELEVATED FEEDING DISH BUT SHARE THE BIG, ELEVATED WATERING DISHES. I also place stainless steel buckets outdoors for them to drink from & they are cleaned and filled several times a day if they are playing outdoors. When it is hot, they chose early mornings and evenings mostly to play, love the A/C- but love it when the mornings/nights are cooler. I think she will love cold weather.
