About Stella

Foxhound mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Hello, my name is Stella. I am a very sweet, loving, 4yr old Hound/Beagle mix. My foster home has 2 dog buddies, a 4yr old and one 7mon. In between my snuggling, couch potato moments I love to wrestle and play with the other dogs. I enjoy chew toys also. My foster family has children ages 4 on up who visit regularly and I enjoy greeting them. However, sometimes if I am resting young children do not respect my space and I let out a bark to let them know. There are cats next door but we have never met because I bark and chase them. My foster mom takes me on walks or tethers me when she is busy outside. I have forgotten where the fence is when there are critters on the other side. I do not see what the fuss is all about, I come back to the yard after I no longer have a visual on the critter, it's a hound thing. I am house trained but a crate is fine too. I have been crated all day with no accidents. If it's raining out I may need a little encouragement to go potty outside. I can hold it a long time when needed, ask my foster mom!! At night I sleep in a cozy corner of the bedroom or on the bed if it storms. I was once found in the bathtub when I was scared, took my foster mom awhile to find me, ha, ha. Even though you can not always see how happy I am, I love attention and hope to find my forever family to love me back. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
