About Blu

Lab / Pointer
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

It's fall and you are going to fall in love with me, I know it! My name is Blu and I am about 15 months old and from a shelter in TN. I was surrendered when I was about 9 months old and have been waiting for my forever family. This rescue group took me in am I am so excited to brighten someone's day! My foster mom tells me she is impressed with my training skills. I know how to sit, shake, and lay down. We are working on my leash skills, but I can't help but get excited when I am seeing these new sights. I am trying to gain my confidence, so I need a family who can be patient while I work thru my people worries. My foster mom says she knows I will be great once I realize I am safe and people are cool. I would do best in a home without small children and maybe with a very chill cat or other dog! I adore my foster family and love snuggling and playing ball! Do you like fetch? I do too! I could do it for hours! My foster family has 2 cats and can you believe they won't play catch when I drop the ball in front of them? Remember, I am still young so I have energy but going on long walks and lots of fetch help me relax. I am working on crate training, but it is hard because I am 46lbs and have long legs so I can't stretch out for long, but I do ok for short amount of times. I am housebroken and have good house manners, except my foster family teases me that I am too interested in their homemade meals! Man the kitchen smells good! But seriously, you cannot be 'blue' around me because I know how to cheer you up! Please consider adopting me and helping me learn what a 'dog's life' is all about! Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
