About Whitney

Hi! My name is Whitney, because my foster mom thought it would be cute to call me something that relates to Texas, since I come from Houston. I was not treated very well in TX. I was left to fend for myself and 9 unborn puppies on the streets. People kept taking photos of me and asking for help, but no one would actually feed me or let me in their home. But then someone in MN saw my photo and her heart broke for me. She reached out to people all over the country and someone came to pick me up and agreed to foster me until I could hitch a ride to MN. One week after I was picked up, I gave birth to 9 babies, and my heart broke when only 3 of them survived. My foster mom says I was a wonderful mama to those 3 though. When they were 3 weeks old, a couple from Minnesota drove to Houston and picked up me and my 3-week-old babies. We drove straight back to MN - AND right into my first snowstorm. What's up with that stuff anyway??? Well now my babies are raised and have great homes - I'm currently fostered with my only son. My foster mom says she absolutely adores me, but I cannot be trusted with her cats and chickens so she is going to help me find my very own family where I will be loved and cherished for the rest of my life. I love to play with the two other dogs in the home, but more than anything I love to be close to my foster mom. I am very smart and love to learn new things. I am not thrilled when my feet touch wet grass, but if mom takes me out on a leash I will follow her and go potty. Harsh words and yelling scare me. My foster mom thinks I saw a lot of that in my past so I love to be talked to softly and with kind words. Do you think you might have room in your life and heart for a loving girl like me?
