SWEET PITTIE LOSES HOME DUE TO BREED-SPECIFIC POLICY. Hi, my name is MOCO - ID#A4296117. I am a neutered male, blue and white American Pit Bull Terrier, and I weigh about 69 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 8 years old, and I have been at the shelter since August 10, 2019. Moco is such a HANDSOME hunk of a guy. This VERY happy guy came in as a Stray out of Phoenix. He has lots & lots & lots of happy tail wags in exchange for some yummy snacks & attention, even showing off his sitting skills. His doggie evaluation notes indicate he had his tail high, had piloerection & was stiff at the fence with a social female dog. During interactions his body was tall & his tail was high. He was 'pushy' & climbed on other dog's back, but the other dog was tolerant & both dogs repeatedly play bowed but did not engage in play. As always, introductions at the Shelter with current doggie family members are highly recommended as long as furry family members are current on vaccinations. The Shelter is recommending he would do best with kiddos ages 10 or older. If adopted, adopter should be aware that Moco will need to follow up with family vet for a rectal mass that shelter clinic unable to treat. Moco was adopted for one day, and returned because the adopter's property management would not allow this breed. Because he was returned, and has been at the shelter over 30 days, he is now at immediate risk of euthanasia. Please consider Moco for your next furry family member, and save him from euthanasia.
