Sox is an 18 month old, 90 pound mutt. Our best guess is that he is a Great Dane mix. This boy is a real sweetheart. Sox does well with other dogs his size and would do well with another dog or as an only dog. He is not good with cats, he views them as squeaky toys to be chased. Sox is still a pup so he enjoys playing and doing zoomies around his yard. He loves his humans so much that he given the choice he will choose to get some attention from a human over a treat. Because Sox is a big guy and can easily jump a 4 foot fence he requires a 6 foot fence to run and play safely. Sox came to us from a rural shelter in Kansas that was out of kennel space. He was found on the 4th of July and nobody ever came to claim him. Sox was very happy to get out of a shelter and have people again. Sox hit the jackpot in Iowa. He got the benefit of going to the Iowa Medical and Classification Center at Oakdale for training. Sox now knows his basic commands and walks on a leash pretty well. He is intelligent and eager to please. Sox would enjoy continuing to go to classes and learning new things. Sox is housetrained, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested.
