About Stormy

Stormy needs a no other animal home, NO younger kids, and with a knowledgeable ADULT who can correct her bad behavior and train her. She Currently she lives with older kids and a cat. I have currently had her 1 month now.Previous owner did not entail all her issues and I am not prepared for her and my youngest is scared of her due to a recent injury from a large dogs nails. STormy is a great dog but missed out on very important socializing and training so needs a knowledgeable dog person.Can be aggressive with treats to other dogs and people, and leash aggressive in situations. *Stormy wasnt introduced to cats until she lived with me and has done pretty well and can be in the same room. Just wants to play and 'boop' cat with her nose. Cat dosent care about dog very much but will hiss a little if Stormy gets to 'in her face'. *Stormy has previously growled and acted like she was going to bite my son as he reached for a toy once as well as doing it with a piece of food that fell on the floor. However, she is NOT BOWL aggressive and you can grab it np. *She has snapped at my sister-in-law as she reached over her as Stormy was laying on her.( fear response) *Stormy lunges and barks at any dog. She will wag her tail and wants to play I UNLESS the other dog barks or growls and then Stormy acts like she wants to tear the other dog apart. * Stormy wants badly to chase anything that moves. She loves squirrels! * Stormy definitely seams to be Alpha dog but has done well with 2 male neighbor dogs and one large female Shepard. * Stormy came to us with no socializing or obedience but now will sit and lay down with words and hand commands and has been on 3 play dates. *Stormy LOVES kids but with her head movements that jerk to one side as if to threaten to bite if needed is unsettling. She has not bitten though. *Stormy likes to cuddle and be on your bed or sleep under it.She will sleep in a crate. *Stormy is VERY scared of loud noises, Fireworks, banging, or even garbage trucks * Stormy will RUN AWAY if she gets outside and will NOT come back when called. She dosent give a hoot about treats. Last owner had her chipped and bought her a special collar with her name and number. *Stormy is high energy and wants to go for walks a lot but needs the metal collar contraption so she dosent pull so very hard as she is very strong. ( short leg, body to the ground, and muscling) *Stormy loves to play with her 'derpy bacon' toy and will fetch a little until she gets bored ( after about 3 throws). *Stormy will go into her kennel at bedtime ( tell her 'bedtime' and she will go, but will avoid it if possible. She will whine/bark for about 20-30 min before bed. *recently had her anal glands expressed. *Stormy is a very sweet dog and wants to please but seems to be aggressive in ways I am not knowledgeable enough to handle. She has a great personality and will be a great dog, but needs additional training badly.She needs a purpose and someone who understands breed traits from corgis and border collies and who can train her.
