About Maxi

Long-eared beauty seeks loving family for furever home! Maxi is a 2 year old, 6.5 pound Chihuahua mix who was owner surrendered to us. She loves to cuddle and she likes to snuggle up under a blanket. She will follow you from room to room, perfectly content to just be near you. Maxi LOVES toys! She is playful with her people and other dogs, but she doesn't like it when someone steals her toys! She will also let you know if you aren't playing with her enough. Maxi has good energy and we highly recommend a home with a fenced yard. When she first came in she was very scared and she did fear bite. We believe this was a learned behavior due to something bad she experienced, but once she was comfortable in her foster home and trusted her foster family that behavior went away. Still it's something to be aware of, and for that reason we do not recommend a home with children. She can be timid when she first meets a new person, but once she knows you she just wants to be next to you all the time. Maxi is housebroken, but she also has access to a dog door, so she may need a few days to get a new routine down, like any dog. She is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. Maxi would love a kind, patient, loving person to help her feel safe and secure. Once she knows you, this pretty girl will cuddle up and love on you furever!
