About Dorothy

Adoption Fee: $100
Siamese
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Dorothy is a beautiful tortie point siamese girl about 5 years old, in search of her loving forever home. She is sweet and friendly and since settling into her foster home she has become a very snuggly lap cat! She was a little shy at first but becomes very cuddly once she gets to know you. Dorothy has been spayed, chipped and vaccinated. She is FIV/Felv negative. Her backstory is that she was being used for breeding (her face has the lines of a pure bred siamese) and was then dumped outside to fend for herself where we think she either quickly became pregnant again, or was already pregnant when she was dumped. Caught in a trap and taken to a kill shelter, she was heavily pregnant and kill listed. We got her out just hours before her name was due to come up on the list. She had her litter on March 9th and her babies have all been adopted. Now it's mama's turn! Our rescue is located in New Braunfels, Texas which is where most of our cats are being fostered unless stated otherwise. Transportation to most of the US can be arranged but please note we tend to prioritize instate adoptions and travel to northeast and midwest due to the number of volunteer drivers on those routes. We do not transport to Florida or California due to the high number of homeless Siamese already located there. Transportation fees would include the cost of a travel carrier, a few basic supplies for the trip (about $70) and a veterinarian's health certificate ($89). If adopting 2 cats they may be able to share a carrier and certificate. Transportation within state can also be arranged with volunteers for the cost of a travel crate and a modest donation for gas money. None of our cats have been tested around dogs or small children but unless otherwise stated all our cats or kittens can live with other cats provided the correct slow introduction process is followed. We provide information on animal integrations prior to adoption. A minimum donation is required as part of each adoption, which is a contribution towards routine veterinary costs (including spay/neuter surgery, microchip, flea/worm meds), non-routine vet costs (antibiotics), food, litter and other care costs while the cats and kittens are with us. Please do not ask us to reduce the requested donation. Email us with any questions or to request an application at [email protected] Please provide the state in which you reside when contacting us.
