About CLEO

Hi, my name is Cleo. I am about 12 years old and was found in a parking lot. The lady who found me tried to take care of me but was going to be evicted if she kept me, so I found my way to Cherished Tails. Since arriving I have seen a vet and had a dental done. I am pretty much completely blind, though my foster mom thinks I can see some shadows. I do have a heart murmur, but for now I don't need any medication or treatment for it. If you become my new mom or dad you'll need to take me to a vet every once in a while to make sure it hasn't gotten worse. My foster mom thinks I am one of the sweetest dogs she has ever met because I LOVE to cuddle, I've even been told I could win an award for it. I do understand that it can't always happen, so when my temporary family is not home I just chill on my own. There are some other dogs in the house with me and two cats. They are all ok, I guess. They don't bother me, so I could go to a home with other nice dogs and/or cats, or even be someone's only pet and I would be just fine. I'm a little scared of kids, but I think it's just because they move around so fast and I can't see what they are doing very well, so I need to live somewhere with no small kiddos. I am not quite all the way potty trained because no one ever taught me how to be, but if you take me outside every once in a while I will do my business where I am supposed to, or give me a potty pad I know what to do. Sometimes, because I am blind, I lose track of where I am and get under people's feet, so you'll have to keep an eye on me and help me stay out of your way so I don't trip you and neither of us get hurt. I am a poodle mix, so every four or five months I'll need to be groomed. I am not a fan of that at all though, so your groomer will have to be very patient with me. I really am a very sweet girl who just wants to be loved and give love. Do you want to meet me?
