About Mischka

Adoption Fee: $200
Siberian Husky
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Local adoptions only: within a 75-mile radius of Quail Valley/Menifee, Southwest Riverside County. Please note: L.A. and Orange Counties are out of area due to traffic/drive time. Beautiful Mischka was rescued after a good Samaritan witnessed a man throw her from a truck and then speed away. Poor thing, he was done with her and threw her away like trash. Horrible! However, she obviously did not have a good home/owner and is better off now. We will find her a loving, permanent home where she will be part of the family. When rescued, Mischka's nipples were enlarged/engorged with milk and after a vet exam, it was determined she had puppies recently. We don't know what happened to her puppies, but hopefully they are okay. Mischka's estimated age is 2-3 years and weighs 63 pounds. She has been fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. Very nice, friendly dog who is good with other dogs but not okay with cats, which means no indoor or outdoor cats in the household. She apparently was not allowed in the house previously and is not trained or house-trained, which is not unusual for rescued dogs because many of them have not had good homes before. A little time and effort with house training in the beginning will make her a welcome member of the family and help ensure a successful adoption. She does know to sit for food and treats. She does not jump or climb, but will try to dig out if left outside alone. She is good with people, including kids, and will make a good family dog. Mischka is looking for a home where she will be part of an active family who has time to give her daily walks and exercise plus lots of love. She is very deserving. $200 adoption fee, cash only, which is to help reimburse for a portion of expenses of dog rescue and rehabilitation. Adoption contract required. We are looking for adopters who are willing and able to care for this dog for its lifetime (10+ years). Location: Quail Valley/Menifee, Southwest Riverside County. Local adoptions only; within 75 mile radius because we deliver animal to its new home to do a home/yard check. Please note: L.A. and Orange Counties are out of area because of traffic and difficult, time-consuming drive.) We prescreen potential adopters before setting up a meeting. If interested in this animal, please email us with a little info about you, your family, your other pets, your experience as a dog owner (which breed, etc.), where you live (which city, home or apt?), what type of home you would provide and what type of dog you are looking for--an inside dog, an outside dog or? Thank you. Our adoption process involves meeting the animal by appointment. We have the best interest of the animal in mind and our goal is to find a good, permanent home for each of our rescued animals. We have the right to decline an application if we feel it is not a good match/fit or suitable home. If you like the animal and we both feel it is a good match, an application and adoption contract is completed. A convenient day/time is arranged for us to deliver the animal to its new home to do a home/yard check (to make sure the home and yard is safe and secure). We will collect the adoption fee (cash only) when we deliver the animal to its new home. All our adoptions are on a trial basis because our goal is to have a successful adoption where the animal has a good permanent home and never ends up in a bad situation again. We ask that you give the animal a chance to adjust and settle in his new home and environment. Going to a new home with new people and a new environment is traumatic and stressful. It will take time for the animal to become comfortable around you and his/her new home. This should be a bonding period where you get to know the animal and connect with it, spend time with it and take things slow. He/she will need to get to know and trust you and learn the rules of the house and what is expected of him/her. This takes time, sometimes 2-3 weeks. During this time we will hold the adoption fee and if the adoption is not working out, we ask that you contact us and return the animal and we will refund your adoption fee.
