About Red slider turtle

Fred is our red slider turtle we've had for about 3 years since he was a baby. He will eat out of your hand if you hold his turtle food near him he'll eat it. He likes the tank to be mostly water, he doesn't like the water to be too low, and does it really like basking at all...he's a swimmer. We keep 2-6 goldfish stocked in his tank and they keep the tank clean, and he eats one once in a while...he's pretty good at it! He likes to be taken out of his cage about every two weeks to walk around in the house, but once he dries out put him back. He's actually got a lot of personality, we just can't afford to move with him to california.
