About Oakley

This is beautiful Oakley! She's a very sweet 1 year old, 12 pound Chihuahua mix. Oakley came to us with a group of dogs who had been dumped in the woods to fend for themselves. She is great with other dogs, unless she is in your lap. She doesn't really like to share her person and her foster family is working with her on that. She has not been tested with cats or kids. Oakley is a little skittish, so a fenced yard would be preferable for her. She loves to be outside! Oakley is very lovable and loves to give kisses and sit with you. She hasn't played with toys yet, hopefully that will happen when she's more comfortable. She sleeps in the big bed with her foster family. Oakley is up to date on shots, spayed, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. She is heartworm positive, probably due to being on her own outside for awhile. That means she has to be treated with a specific preventative every month, the same way you would any dog. The rescue will pay for her to be tested every 6 months or until she tests negative. The adopter must agree to continue this treatment. Oakley is a very sweet girl who is ready for a loving furever home!
