About Lana

Introducing Lana! She is a very sweet 6.5 pound wire haired Terrier mix. This beautiful 5 year old little girl was found as a stray with several other dogs and taken to the shelter. We don't have any information about Lana's past but suspect she was in a home where she was not shown affection. She is still very timid around people but Lana loves other dogs and will play with them for hours. She has begun to play with dog toys and has a few that are her favorites. Lana enjoys treats and runs to the kitchen when you tell her it is treat time. She will take treats from your hand and does not run from you unless she believes you are going to try to pet her. She is slowly learning what it is like to have positive attention and affection and be a part of the family. She continues to blossom everyday. Lana does very well about going potty outside and enjoys playing in the yard. Due to her timid nature she does not need to be in a home with children. She loves the company of other dogs and takes a lot of her cues from them and should go to a home with another dog. She would not be happy as the only dog in the home. Lana is heartworm negative, up to date on shots, microchipped and spayed. Lana needs a special home and family that will help her continue to learn to trust and live the life of a loved family member.
