Meet Penney! She's a 9 year old, 24 pound Dachshund mix. She was owner surrendered to rescue because she didn't get along with their new dog. Penney is an affectionate girl but we expect she didn't get on with the new dog in the house as she had been the only dog for so long and she was jealous the new dog was getting attention! That doesn't mean she wouldn't get on OK with another dog but she might be happiest as the only dog in the house. She doesn't pay any mind to the other dogs in her foster home but that changes when there's food involved. Penney will walk her happy self right up to someone else's bowl to chow down if given the chance and not all dogs will stand for that. She sleeps at the bottom of the bed by her foster mom's feet at night and has attached herself to her foster mom. She is an escape artist and must have a fenced yard or she will wander off on her own to explore. Penney is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, spayed and microchipped with a lifetime registration. We would love to get this sweet girl settled into a new home soon.
