Link was abandoned at the waterfront area of Mobile AL a few months ago. He had a huge chain that had been fashioned into a collar around his neck, hence his name. He was tough to trap, and would scoot just out of reach, but was always ready for a handout and to play with the feeder's dog. Eventually, with the assistance of the folks at the Coast Guard Station, he was brought into AC and pulled into Rescue, here at The Reserve. Link is surprisingly happy here, gets along well with all the dogs, and fine with some cats. Link is a very gentle dog, attaches quickly to his Human and aims to please; he will be near you, but is not 'needy'. He's great as a house dog, and has had exposure to a doggy door, but for now, still needs his human to let him out. Link would be a good pet for pretty much any household, just feed him separately, as he doesn't like anyone near his kibble. Link is HW positive, but has been treated and will soon be done with secondary meds. So, he is available for adoption.
