About EMERY

'EMERY' is an adorable, happy, 1.5 yr old, 50-55 lb. German Shepherd male mix we rescued from a very high kill pound. Energetic & loving, Emery melts your heart with his sweet eyes and beaming smile! Emery had been very neglected. When we rescued Emery, he was severely underweight, had skin/mange issues, his coat was poor and had no luster, and the dear boy was also 'heart worm' positive. After months of a strong nutritional regime to bolster his immune system, skin treatments and 'fast kill' heart worm protocol ... LOOK AT HIM NOW! Totally different boy. So happy & handsome! Emery is smart, charming and so eager to please! He longs to be your 'best boy'. Emery loves attention & being affectionate (and sometimes will 'bark' to get it); loves other dogs, though initially can be overly excited which can be overwhelming to some dogs, but after slower introduction and a little time, Emery calms down nicely. Emery has not been 'cat-tested, so we do not know how Emery would be around resident cats. A more outdoorsy & athletic owner would be a terrific match for Emery. Due to his youthful enthusiasm, a family with children over the age of 8 yrs old would be optimal. Emery is is neutered, de-wormed, micro-chipped, is current on vaccinations, on monthly heart worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not administer it's own vaccination shots. All of our rescued dogs' medical care has been administered by a licensed Veterinarian. All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., pro-biotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
