About Sugar

Sugar is a 50 lb, 1-2 year old mixed breed, possibly Boxer with some Staffordshire Terrier. He was found on the street about two months ago, covered in fleas and extremely emaciated, but now he's looking and feeling much better! This sweet boy was seen being put out by owners who no longer wanted him and didn't care what happened to him. He found his way into a second chance, and now he's looking for his forever home. Even though people have treated him terribly, Sugar is bursting at the seams with love and trust. He never meets a stranger, only friends everywhere he goes. If you are looking for a lap dog, Sugar is your guy. He earned his name because he gives kisses to every person he meets! I have been fostering Sugar for a couple of months now as we waited patiently for an appointment with the Humane Society. When the day finally came, I was told he's a 'very adoptable dog,' but he needed to be neutered before intake. 'Get him fixed and bring him back in a month,' they said. Unfortunately, I am not able to continue fostering Sugar, as I already have two large-ish dogs and my landlord is ready to knock my block off. I am asking a $100 rehoming fee (which will be donated to Rescue Me) to ensure Sugar will be placed in a home where he will be loved and cared for. He is up to date on all vaccines, and currently taking Revolution for flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
