Looking for a home for 2 beautiful cattle dogs with acreage and owner/s who will have time to spend with them. Please don't reply if you are away at work all day and plan to keep them in a house or small backyard all day by theirselves. They will not transition well to a situation like that as they currently have freedom to roam on 2 acres and have never been cooped up with a small backyard behind a 6 foot privacy fence. Unfortunately my job has overtaken my time and they are not getting the attention they deserve so I am looking to find them better than what they have here with me. They both know how to sit, stay, roll over, shake and will wait until released to eat. The Male has been trained to fetch. Both know 'go to your house' and will run to their respective doghouses if commanded. They are bonded and I do not want them separated. Both are good with our cats, non-agressive and good with my 6 year old. Having said that if you are familiar with the breed you know it probably wouldn't be a good idea to put them in situations with other dogs and children they do not know as I haven't spent time socializing them that way. They also are strictly outside dogs and were never housetrained because of that. They both are smart and would be easy to train further for your specific needs if you have the time and desire to train though. The Male especially is very sharp and smarter than the average dog. The female is a little more anxious (probably abused before we got her) and high strung, hence the reason I want them to go together so she can have a good transition with him.Still she is an exceptional dog, well disciplined and extremely loving and desiring to please her owner. She had a lot less time with me than the Male but she picked up commands quickly. I only wish I had more time to work with her as I know she could learn to get rid of the anxiety completely. The female is more of the velcro type dog who just wants to be around you but The Male is more independant and if you aren't actively 'engaging' him he is quite content to 'turn off' and go do his own thing. They are both approx. 6 years old.
